I LIKE TO USE MINES AND PRETTY GOOD ON THE GROUND AND GOOD WITH A PISTOL. WE SHOULD HAVE SOME PISTOL MATCHES SO THAT WE CAN PRATICE OUR AIM WITH THE PISTOL, BECAUSE SOMETIMES U R NOT ABLE TO GET TO A WEAPON RIGHT A WAY AND IT WILL MAKE U MORE CONFIDENT ABOUT USING IT. WHEN I SPAWN AT A BASE I WLL SOMETIMES LEAVE THE BASE AND GRAB A WEAPON FROM ANOTHER BASE INSTEAD ESPECIALLY IF WE R GETTING BASE R%PED

Catalan touched on an important strategic point, taking bases is crucial never leave a base half claimed or unclaimed if you stop a flag carrier at a base be sure to claim the base or the guy will back in a few moments to whup on you. And if the ground forces claim all the bases it can turn into a camp out the enemy will only have their home base to spawn. You can steal their tanks and planes and sit happily in their base picking them off as they respawn, effectively shutting them out.

Proximity mines you can only lay four at a time anymore than that and your just blowing up the first one you laid down. So be sure not to hog em unless you lost em, by kills or ppl blowing em up. Everyone should lay down their four if the whole team does that its alot harder for the other team. And always be creative about where u put em. The more you switch up your placements the more you'll catch em slippin.

Watch the sky Warhawks make or break the game. If u can always carry an RPG if a Warhawk is dusting on your teammates you can usually take em out while their preoccupied by their other ground target. And if two ppl fire at once the Warhawk is toast. If the other team is swarming overhead find a missile turret and they'll usually run for the hills.(try not to linger to long you show up on their radar) And if all else fails and your teamates are losing the sky battle learn to fly (I can't) and if your no good at least you'll give some breathing room to the ppl that can fly.

ok good ideas Sparkie...
but with land mines. try to find a few really well hidden spots, dont forget just cas they are well hidden, they still need to be effective spots. My view is If it aint broke dont fix it. if the spot keeps killing them keep using it. have other spots in mind for when they finally crak your sneakyness and blow up the minds b4 it kills them. but yeah i have got many many places that (depending on the map) i will put mines at and then i have secondary ones for when a team learns my placements and i need to switch things up a bit.
like i like to mine the grassy areas (on installation) where the jeep is most likely to drive whith the flag, like between trees, or i like to put them on tree on the other side so they dont see it and they drive by them then BOOM!!!

another strategy is to take over ,everyone should go for there base in a ctf match someone can easily take the flag with all the chaos going on .There always needs to be foot runners , tanks and warhawks all at the same time, its a riot, its fun and u usually win this way.

Tanks should never be left empty. A tank sitting in your base unused is a potential tank for the enemy to occupy and wreak havoc. Never get out of your tank unless your SURE its a goner, nothing worse than a guy jumping out of a tank just to give it to the enemy. Or losing your tanks because their sitting somewhere smoldering and not respawning where you need them. If its time to get out blow it up, same thing goes with warhawks when u go for the flag be sure that when you exit the warhawk you, A:Booby trap it, or B:Blow it up. That way your friends at the base have a shiny new warhawk or tank to use after you grab the flag.
